How we will use your information
Who we are
The Senedd Commission is the data controller (i.e. the organisation responsible) for your information. We will ensure your information is protected and used in line with data protection legislation.

Why we are collecting your information
We hope to collect three types of information:
your registration details for the Welsh Youth Parliament (if you are aged 11 and up to 18 before the 25 November 2018); We will need your e mail, date of birth and postcode to enable you to register to vote.
a short video clip of you which we will use to promote the Welsh Youth Parliament
and images of you enjoying our stand.
We intend to take photographs and film footage ("images") on the stand. Those images will be used for the purposes of promoting the work of the Senedd and engage with the people of Wales (this is one of the Senedd's key goals, which you can read more about here: Senedd Commission Strategy 2016 - 2021.
What we will do with your information
Welsh Youth Parliament- registering to vote
Images recorded at the event may be published on our social media platforms, our website or in printed and digital material.

How long your information will be retained
Registration details will be retained until the registration process is complete (December 2018)
Images may be retained by the Senedd indefinitely. We store them on Senedd ICT infrastructure, which includes third party cloud services provided by Microsoft. Any transfer of data by Microsoft outside of the EEA is covered by contractual clauses under which Microsoft ensure that personal data is treated in line with European legislation.
Any images which we publish into the public domain will remain there. Images and footage we retain could potentially be used without context to the event photographed or filmed to promote the work of the Welsh Parliament and engage with the people of Wales.
We will rely on your consent to use your registration information for the purposes of the election. Consent will be given by registering for the Welsh Youth Parliament.
Our use of images is to enable us to promote the work of the Senedd and engage with the people of Wales. We consider this task to be vital to fulfil the strategic goals of the organisation as set out in the Senedd Commission Strategy 2016 – 2021.
You have certain rights over the information we hold, and these rights will depend on the type of information you provide, but include: the right to see the information; to correct it, if it is inaccurate; to have it removed; and to limit our use of it.
