The support available to you

Making a complaint or reporting an incident can be emotionally challenging and require courage. The following suggestions are provided as a guide to assist and support you should you find yourselves in this position. 

We encourage you to talk to someone. 

For anyone making a complaint

If you feel that you would benefit from support from a medical practitioner, please contact your GP. 

You may feel that you will require ongoing face to face support to assist you emotionally during a complaint investigation. Below are a few sources of such support.

  • Your employee assistance programme at work
  • Your trade union representative 
  • A manager, colleague or your own HR Department 
  • Samaritans 116 123
  • Sexual Harassment Helpline (in partnership with Survivors Trust) 08088 010 818
