Taliadau metrau talu o flaen llaw

Mae’r Cynulliad yn mynegi pryder fod cwsmeriaid sy’n defnyddio metrau talu o flaen llaw ar gyfer ynni yn talu, ar gyfartaledd, £217 yn fwy bob blwyddyn na’r rheini sy’n talu drwy taliadau ar-lein a £155 yn fwy na debyd uniongyrchol; yn nodi fod treuan o gartrefi heb gysylltiad i’r rhyngrwyd tra bod 1 o bob 11 heb gyfrif banc; yn galw ar Lywodraeth y Cynulliad i gysylltu ag Ofgem er mwyn galw am adolygiad llawn o’r costau i’r cwsmeriaid yma fel cam cyntaf i sicrhau nad yw defnyddwyr Cymreig ddim yn cael eu cosbi am dalu drwy’r dull hwn.

Energy Pre-payment meter tariffs

This Assembly expresses concern that customers using prepayment meters to pay for energy are paying an average of £217 per year more than those who have signed up for suppliers' online tariffs and £155 more than those paying by direct debit; notes that a third of households don’t have internet access at home whilst 1 in 11 do not have a bank account; calls on the Assembly Government to make representations to Ofgem to undertake a comprehensive review of charges for PPM customers as a first step to ensuring that Welsh consumers are not penalised because of their payment method.
